H  ey just just came across your site and want to say.I am looking for my Thomson relatives. My father was born in Tanzania and had brothers and sisters some went to Autralia some God knows were they went. My fathers name was Ian Marshall Thomson and his father was Alan Marshall Thomson born in Aberdeen Scotland and moved to Africa both South and East. Are any of you related to me?

There is, in my family tree, a Jeremiah Girt who is said to have been born at Buxhall, Suffolk in1700 and to have married Elizabeth Unknown at Rattlesden, Suffolk in 1724. Their only child known to me is Alice Girt who was born 6 Jul 1735 at Great Finborough, Suffolk. Alice Girt married John Attew at Great Finborough, Suffolk. All their children were born at Thorpe Market, Norfolk. A researcher has been unable to confirm the alleged entries after searching the Buxhall and Rattlesden registers or other Girt submitted entries in the IGI. I wondered if you had any information on this Jeremiah and his forebears. |
